IXION sold almost 300 thousand copies in the first month of release on Steam

Construction simulator and survival video game IXION by Bulwark Studios was released on Steam on December 7, 2022. Kasedo Games took over the publishing duties.

In the new IXION, players will have to control a huge starship "Tiqqun", whose mission is to colonize a distant planet. The game participants need to preserve this space station until they arrive on the new planet, and this includes the following requirements: preserving the integrity of the starship's hull, working in a coordinated manner within the station, and gaining and maintaining the trust of the crew.

According to GameSensor's estimations, IXION sales during the first month of release date on Steam amounted to about $7 million. Looking at the number of IXION copies sold, almost 300 thousand players purchased the game on the platform during the same period.

The new game received mixed reviews and about 7 points out of 10 from players on the aggregator website Metacritic. According to some of them, the gameplay turned out to be somewhat complicated. Critics on the same site rated the game at 71 points out of 100. IXION's rating on Steam is 3.5 stars out of 5.

The previous game by Bulwark Studios on the platform was also a game about the survival of a space station in the face of the fall of humanity, Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus. If we compare both projects on Steam, IXION revenue for the first month of release is almost 7 times higher than Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus sales for the same period.

About 50% of players who purchased IXION on Steam speak English. Chinese accounts for 12% of the audience and almost 10% for German. The game also supports French, Spanish, Japanese, and other languages.
